The weekend following our visit to the Bishop Museum, we headed to the Battleship Missouri Memorial. We started with a not-so-interesting tour by a volunteer, but we learned that the USS Missouri participated in the First Gulf War and although was decommissioned in 1992, can be reactivated for service within 60 days.

| View of 16"/50 caliber Mark 7 gun from the bow |
We also took a self guided tour of other parts of the ship, including Officers' quarters, mess, and the bridge. The ship is HUGE; only a fraction of it is open as a museum.
