The Hula Sign

One might say the skirt was a sign. While cleaning out BIL's dorm room we found and kept this hula skirt. Two days later A reports that he's been offered a position in Hawaii, but we don't get final word on the offer for another three months.

Here are answers to some FAQ's based on recent conversations with family and friends:

1. We will be on the island of Oahu. That's the one with Honolulu on it, not the Big Island.

2. We'll be here for three years.

3. We will be moved out of our house by the end of September, expect to move in mid-October, and hope to be in permanent housing well before Thanksgiving.

4. We have to find our own housing and no, we don't know where yet.

5. "They" take care of shipping our stuff, up to 18,000 lbs.

5a. Yes, 18,000 lbs. is quite a lot and we don't think we have that much stuff.

5b. We will also have storage near home.

6. "They" pay to ship one car. We are trying to decide what to do with the second car. It's likely that we'll need it.

7. R will most likely find a job . . . if she doesn't take up surfing instead.
